On February 23, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security issued the Notice on Publishing the Medical Catalog for National Basic Medical Insurance, Occupational Injury Insurance and Maternity Insurance for 2017 (“the Notice”), to officially release the Medical Catalog for National Basic Medical Insurance, Occupational Injury Insurance and Maternity Insurance for 2017.
The new catalog expanded coverage of medicines for basic medical insurance. 2535 western medicines and Chinese patent medicines were included, with an increase of 15.4% from the catalog for 2009. Some 25 new products of Hansoh Pharma in the anti-tumor, psychotropic, internal secretion, digestive tract, cardiovascular and anti-infection fields were included in the new catalog, which had 7 new product categories.
